This summer, Art House North is joining with Art House Dallas' ORIGIN series by hosting a discussion group around this year's ORIGIN Reader: On Mortality. In addition to an opening and closing session, the group will meet four times to discuss the four sections of the reader. The thematic direction of the ORIGIN series this year will explore the construct of death and mortality, especially as it relates to how we live in response to our understanding. The aim of this year’s series will be to go beyond exploration of death as a subject to be understood; rather, the hope is to meditate on the implications of our finitude as artists, as patrons of the arts, as clergy, as believers – and as husbands, wives, children, neighbors, friends, and learn to “number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
