Listening Well: Reflections on Art and Community with Chenoa Murphy

Art House North is excited to present a summer series on what it means to listen well.

We believe that listening well is the key to moving our hearts toward curiosity, better questions, empathy, and creativity. Join us for a three part summer series via Zoom.

Chenoa Murphy started the violin at age three, and trained in the Suzuki Violin method. She has since performed in six countries and 38 states around the US. Her opinions on race can be found on CNN, NPR Illinois, and Huffington Post. She is currently a homeschooling mom of two children and host of her podcast show, 'Black, White & in Color.' In 2019, Chenoa founded an online course 'Introduction to Black Classical Composers and Musicians' and 'The Journey Beyond' to educate and bring to the foreground this lost history of classical music, and to inspire Black students to see themselves in the history and future of it.
