Art House North and Awaken Community Present...
Artists Respond: Racial Reconciliation

Are you wanting to become a reconciling community? How do we respond to racial violence and tension? Are you wanting to take steps toward diversifying the culture in your church?

David Bailey will be joining us at 7pm, Saturday September 21st, as well as Sunday morning, September 22nd (right down the street!) at Awaken Community at 9:30 and 11am.

David has founded two reconciliation ministries. The first is Arrabon - a ministry that equips churches and organizations to engage in the ministry of reconciliation with cultural intelligence. The second is Urban Doxology - a ministry that writes the soundtrack of reconciliation in the racially diverse and gentrifying neighborhood of Church Hill, Richmond, VA.

On Sept 21st, we will be screening a new short film called 11AM: The Most Segregated Hour, which tells the story of Urban Doxology, and their response to the need for reconciliation by “creating cultural artifacts that build new legacies”. Followed by a powerful dialogue with David Bailey.

Please join us for this important conversation.

Doors 6:30, Event 7pm.

Coffee and dessert provided.
